Botox

1) What is Botox™ ?
It is a medication that relaxes the muscles used for facial expressions.

2) How is it administered?
The medication is administered as microinjectioins through the skin on variou facial areas.

3) What is the goal of the traetment?
The goal is to rebalance the muscular activity associated with ageing by giving the face a more refreshed and relaxed aspect while maintaining the natural expressivity.

4) Which areas can be treated?
- the forehead & eyebrows: To soften the forehead and glabelle wrinkles (area between the eyebrows), to reduce the forehead and eyebrows sagging, open the eyes and give the gaze a more relaxed and rested aspect.

- the circumference of the mouth: to reduce the fine wrinkles and correct the sagging at the corner of the lips.

5) How long do the benefits last?
The benefits will vary depending on which filling agent is injected. Those results vary between 6 months and 4 to 5 years. It is important to note that many of those filling agents stimulate the production of natural collagen by the skin and may lead to long term benefits.

1) What are filling injections?
They are injections of products that will fill up wrinkles, tighten collagen, define and optimize the lips volme or refresh the facial oval.

2) Which products are used?
There are many products on the market, some collagen based, others hyaluronic acid based. Your cosmetic dermatologist will suggest you the best one according to your needs.

3) What are the possible side effects?
All patients will experience redness and slight to moderated swelling for a period of 48 hours after the injections. Sometimes, patients may suffer bruising, especially when multiple areas are treated at once.
